Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Media team at Spark NZ on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This role sits within the Digital Media Chapter, part of the Consumer and SME Tribe, which delivers digital campaigns across both consumer and business portfolios.
As a Digital Strategist, you will be responsible for developing digital media strategies, overseeing campaign delivery, and ensuring our digital solutions are innovative, effective, and aligned with stakeholder objectives. You will work closely with our agency partners and internal teams including Trading (Buying), Data, Marketing, Product, and Finance to deliver best-in-class results across all channels.
Ngā mahi o ia rā – Daily tasks:
- The Performance Strategist will be expected to undertake a mixture of these tasks:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of their portfolio.
- Research and gather data to develop well-informed digital media recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Understand how to drive commercial objectives by leveraging digital channels, CDP, commercial, marketing, and channel data.
- Work collaboratively with marketers, agency partners, and stakeholders to deliver integrated end-to-end campaigns (from briefing through to deployment)
- Deliver digital media plans to support business objectives.
- Generate original ideas with other team members.

- Proven track record in developing digital strategies that drive business results.
- Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, including technology and product trends.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing the priorities of diverse stakeholders.
