About the Role:
Spark IT Engineer
Spark IT Engineers are professionals in one or more technical streams and are utilized across a variety of technologies to ensure the value of Spark’s Engineering powered mantra is directed into all Spark, Partner, and wider Spark Group engagements.
This role is responsible for engineering excellence across Spark’s internal customers. The Spark IT Engineer’s primary goal is to manage client incidents and requests by providing a single point of ownership. Specific objectives are as follows:
- Facilitate rapid restoration of services within Service Level Agreements.
- Provide effective Incident Control.
- Proactively maintain and improve service quality.
- Ensure all actions taken are recorded appropriately within Spark's ticket management system.
- Keep the customer informed at all times.
Day to day you will be involved in:
- Investigation & Diagnosis: Utilize all available tools and knowledge to ensure a competent resolution or workaround attempt.
- Ownership, Monitoring, Tracking & Communication: Monitor and manage all incidents and requests logged, including updating internal systems and the customer, in line with specified service levels.
- Assist with Business Outcomes: Support the delivery of business outcomes, with an expectation to step up or across into other roles as reasonably required to ensure quality outcomes for Spark, our partners, and the wider Spark Group.
- Continuous Improvement: Focus on continuous improvement in technology, business requirements, and/or ways of working for Spark, our partners, and the Spark Group.
- Emerging Technologies: Identify emerging technologies that could provide competitive advantage and/or service improvements to both Spark and the client.
- Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership across technology trends where there is a benefit for Spark, our partners, and/or the Spark Group.
- Outstanding Service: Strive to always provide outstanding service to all Spark staff, our partners, and the wider Spark Group.
- Solution Design and Maintenance: Assist with the design, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of solutions and systems used across the Spark business.
