Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About the Role
In this role you will be supporting the Network Investment Lead to help support our Network team with commercial finance. You will be analysing business operations and financial data to provide insights that drive strategic decisions. This will involve working with many stakeholders across the business.
Ngā mahi o ia rā - Daily tasks
- Supporting the planning, and management of our Capital budgets to allow Network and Operations to focus on the right priorities, and deliver within our budget constraints
- Supporting the financial modelling associated with strategic incentives including the development and maintenance of the 3–5-year forecast which evolves with the Network and Operations Strategy
- Supporting Network and Operations in relation to new commercial contracts including advice and analysing the impacts
- Providing ongoing financial analysis of contracts which are currently being executed
- Support the execution of business opportunities that are aligned to the strategy
- Support the financial modelling associated with strategic initiatives
- Return on investment of both strategic and tactical initiatives is maximised
- Supporting strategic project governance ensuring benefits and risks are reassessed when necessary (including TDP, TPS and Quarterly Operations Board Report)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, and potentially Business Intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- A good understanding of business principles and financial concepts.
- Experience in a relevant commercial or finance role.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related fie
