About the Role – Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Data Consultant to join our growing Data & AI team at Qrious. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-impact, data-driven solutions that help our customers solve complex problems, unlock insights, and drive meaningful outcomes.
You’ll work hands-on across a variety of industries, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to design, build, and implement modern data solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the continued growth and success of Qrious, helping position us as a trusted leader in the Data & AI space across Aotearoa.
Key Responsibilities – Ngā mahi o ia rā
• Deliver high-quality data and AI solutions that meet customer expectations, aligning with agreed timelines, budgets, and best practices. This includes solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-delivery support.
• Build and maintain customer trust by being actively involved in project delivery, owning outcomes, and consistently demonstrating technical excellence and professionalism throughout every engagement.
• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across Qrious, Spark, and our strategic partners. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure alignment on customer needs, delivery expectations, and strategic objectives.
• Identify and capture growth opportunities within existing and new accounts by understanding customer challenges, proactively proposing solutions, and contributing to the ongoing success of Qrious’ Data & AI practice.
• Champion innovation, proactive ownership, and a customer-first mindset in every aspect of your work. You’ll be expected to bring fresh ideas, take initiative, and help foster a culture where continuous improvement and customer outcomes are at the forefront.
• Contribute to internal capability development by sharing knowledge and supporting the evolution of our delivery methodologies and technical standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the data and AI space, and bring forward new ideas and approaches that can add value to our customers and our business.
Your Experience – Tō wheako
• Passion for technology, data, and AI.
• Experience with modern data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
• Knowledge of public cloud services (especially AWS and/or Azure)
• Understanding of emerging technologies (e.g. generative AI, machine learning, real time analytics)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or priorities in a dynamic environment, balancing deadlines, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, positive, and eager to contribute to a high-performing team
• Previous experience in a consulting or customer-facing role, ideally within the data, analytics, or technology space. You should be comfortable working directly with clients to understand their needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
