About the Role:
This role reports to the Finance Transformation and Enablement Lead.
As Finance Analyst you’ll be accountable for accounts receivable, payable functions, vendor claims, financial reporting within our business and projects teams.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for processing invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable, receivable, Inventory, Revenue and COS.
Day to day you will:

- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues with vendors and suppliers by coordinating internally with stakeholders
- Attend internal and external meetings where appropriate to ensure good engagement and satisfaction from stakeholders and maintain good relationships.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Maintain group mailbox and action queries from customers & vendors.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Ad hoc. Undertake and support other duties and projects as appropriate and requested from the business and Finance Partnering Leads.
- Forecasting the weekly payments.
- Inventory variance reconciliations with GL vs SOH report
- Inventory management - pricing, claims and vendor reporting
- Monthend journals and other monthend tasks.
What experience you'll bring:
· Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or Specialist
· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
· Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, D365 or similar)
· Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
· Knowledge of Skyline inventory management system an advantage.
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
· Industry experience. Previous telecommunications or infrastructure experience would be advantageous.
· Communication. Outstanding communication skills in all formats, including the ability to make the complex and complicated, simple and understandable. Strong written communication skills with ability to prepare consolidated management accounts, draft board papers, workpapers and business cases.
· Stakeholder management. Proven partnering and stakeholder management capabilities and experience i.e., working effectively within and across teams and functions within a large organisation.
· Social & relationship skills. A people person, able to build rapport and constructive working relationships with diverse groups of people.
