About the Role:
As the Finance Partner, reporting to the Finance Transformation and Enablement Lead, your role involves ensuring that EGL’s financial information maintains the highest standards and is prepared in a timely manner. You will also be responsible to produce financial accounting, business planning, forecasting, and analytical analysis.
You will enjoy delivering accurate and timely financial accounting, implementing new processes or methods that enhance efficiency, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and contributing to business transformation and automation projects. Building strong relationships across the organization and add value to business operations.
Day to day you will:
· Complete the month end and year end process, including journal entries, intercompany and full Balance Sheet reconciliations.
· Preparation of accurate and timely financial information and reporting pack, including monthly P&L and commentary.
· Management of Tax calculations, including GST, FBT and Income Tax.
· Management of Lease Accounting including posting journals, updating and maintenance of Nomos One platform.
· Preparation of business budgeting and rolling forecasts, and other reports that are required.
· Provide accounting support to ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures and the integrity of the financial results of EGL.
· Leadership in the areas of technical accounting, including managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
· Ownership of financial systems and operations, ensuring adequate controls are in place to ensure all aspects of compliance are met.
· Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to drive financial performance through operational efficiencies.
· Continuous improvement of financial policies, procedures, and control.
· Undertake and support ad hoc, other duties and projects from time to time as appropriate and requested from the business.

What experience you'll bring:
· CA qualified with 5 years post CA commercial experience, ideally with strong technical accounting, cost management and process improvement experience, knowledge of IFRS16 Lease Accounting, key business drivers, and use of business productivity tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Power BI).
· Business Partnering: Experience in presenting to business leaders. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels with both financial and non-financial managers.
· Financial Management: Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards and processes.
· Financial Planning: Experience of budgeting and forecasting, financial and project management in a large and complex environment. Strong use of dashboarding, KPI driver-based reporting to lift performance.
· Communication. Outstanding communication skills in all formats, including the ability to make the complex and complicated, simple, and understandable.
· Judgement & Problem-Solving. Big picture thinker, able to exercise sound judgement and use strong transaction management and problem-solving skills to drive matters to conclusion.
· Stakeholder Management. Proven partnering and stakeholder management capabilities and experience i.e., working effectively within and across teams and functions within a large organisation.
· Social & Relationship skills. A people person, able to build rapport and constructive working relationships with diverse groups of people.
