About the Role:
As our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partnering Lead, you’ll play a critical leadership position in strengthening HSW partnering capability across Spark with specific HSW operational leadership accountability for Entelar Group..
Working alongside the HSW Programs and Governance Lead, you’ll be accountable for the craft, capability and performance of the HSW Partnering team. You’ll provide coaching and mentoring to HSW Partners, enabling them to prioritise effectively, and deliver pragmatic, customer‑focused HSW outcomes in line with Spark’s strategy and values.
Day to day you will be involved in:
- Leading the development of Health, Safety and Wellbeing craft across the HSW Partnering team, setting clear capability expectations and supporting partners through coaching, mentoring and development planning.
- Driving Spark’s HSW strategy alongside the HSW Programs and Governance Lead, by shaping and delivering annual HSW roadmaps.
- Providing leadership and technical guidance to HSW Partners, enabling them to deliver pragmatic, risk‑based advice that supports leaders, customers and business outcomes.
- Holding specific HSW leadership accountability for Entelar Group, including the strategy and performance of HSW in that environment.
- Supporting HSW Partners to work effectively with leaders on the identification, management and mitigation of Spark’s most critical health and safety risks and activities.
- Liaising with the New Zealand regulator on enquiries, incidents and hazards as required.
- Supporting Spark’s wholly‑owned subsidiaries with HSW partnering, guidance and leadership capability as needed.
- Leading prioritisation across the partnering portfolio, removing impediments and helping the team navigate competing demands in a complex operating environment.
