About the Role:

As an IT Engineer – Packaging, in our Digital Workplace Chapter you’ll be accountable for creating, testing and deploying application packages for multiple enterprise customers to agreed standards and within agreed service levels. As a member of our wider operational team you will liaise directly with the customer and with our internal service delivery, operations, service desk and change and delivery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience which exceeds expectations.

Day to day you will be involved in:

· Build, test and implement outsourced application delivery across multiple Enterprise customers.

· Deliver game changing end user experiences

· Adhere to Application Packaging and Application Deployment standards and change processes.

· Be able to continually pass the security & police vetting process and hold a valid work visa.

· Troubleshoot application and MCEM/Intune deployment issues

What experience you'll bring?

We’re looking for a Windows Desktop / Endpoint Engineer who is interested in building their skills in application packaging and deployment. This role is well suited to someone early in their desktop engineering career who enjoys problem solving, learning how applications behave on Windows, and wants to grow into a specialist role.

You’ll have experience or exposure to:

Supporting Windows desktop environments, including installing, updating, and troubleshooting applications
A strong working knowledge of Windows application installers (MSI / EXE), including installation behaviour, configuration, logging, and common failure scenarios
Assisting with or supporting application deployments using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM / MECM)
Identifying and troubleshooting application issues on Windows, including install failures and user reported problems
Awareness of application compatibility issues and a willingness to learn common remediation approaches

· A solid foundation in scripting or automation, with experience writing and maintaining scripts to support Windows desktop environments

You’ll also bring:

Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document issues and follow processes
Good time management and prioritisation skills, with support from senior team members
A positive attitude, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and develop technical skills
The ability to work well in a team and ask questions when unsure

What you’ll learn in this role:

How to package and deploy applications using Intune and MECM
Hands-on experience with application packaging and troubleshooting
Deeper knowledge of Windows Installer behaviour and application internals
How to use PowerShell to automate packaging and deployment tasks
Best practices for application lifecycle management in an enterprise environment
