THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on an exciting opportunity to oversee the Fibre Infrastructure Delivery domain of our business.
As an integral part of the Delivery Lead team, this pivotal role will oversee the day-to-day operations of our fibre and civil infrastructure discipline. You will coordinate resources, supervise crews and sub-contractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and according to safety standards. Working closely with your Delivery Lead peers, field-based team members and the wider Delivery team, you will lead the delivery of work assigned to your Delivery Chapter and strive to deliver timely quality outcomes to expected financial budgets and standards of excellence. You will empower and upskill your leaders to drive high performance within their teams.
WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Develop team capabilities and manage performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop, price, and prepare compelling commercial proposals and bids for fibre projects.
- Coordinate site resources, including subcontractors and materials.
- Monitor delivery progress and report variances to the Project Managers.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and quality assurance processes.
- Conduct regular briefings and checks to oversee crew activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and daily updates on project status.
- Foster a robust Health and Safety culture within the team.
- Uphold statutory requirements and safety standards on-site.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage budget compliance.
WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
- Minimum 5 years in an operational role in civil engineering or telecommunications.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and building strong relationships.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a growth mindset.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to drive matters to a conclusion.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence.
