Marketing Manager – Acquisition

Reporting to: Chapter Lead – Acquisition Marketing

We’re looking for an Acquisition Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to work in our Consumer & SME Marketing Tribe. The successful candidate will be confident running marketing projects autonomously and will bring high energy, creativity and commercial strength to our team. What the day to day looks like:
- End-to-end responsibility for acquisition marketing functions across a range of Spark’s products and portfolios (across consumer & SME) - including market orientation, research, strategy, proposition/offer development, campaign/project go-to-market and measurement.
- Develops, owns and executes ATL advertising campaigns, working closely with media and creative partners to deliver world class work that meets marketing and commercial objectives.
- Delivers work into paid, owned and earned media, keeping in-mind channel best practice.
- Uses market insights and competitive analysis to craft competitive propositions and offers that increase consideration and conversion.
- Responsible for managing budget, ensuring it’s spent in the most effective way possible.
- Works with globally-recognised, innovative brands and partners to deliver unique work in the NZ market.
- Maximises ROI by measuring and understanding the performance of marketing initiatives through experimentation and in-flight optimisation.
- Collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders to create impactful work, internally and externally.
- Uses AI to simplify repeatable tasks and finds ways to create efficiencies in marketing processes.
- Stays up to date with industry trends and best practice to ensure the team remains at the forefront of marketing innovation.
Who are we looking for?
Someone with…
- Bachelors degree in marketing/communications (or equivalent).
- 5+ years marketing experience (client-side or agency).
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A customer-first approach to marketing.
- High degree of commercial acumen.
- Growth mindset and roll-up-the sleeves attitude.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms (media, web, data, AI).
- Strong understanding of marketing measurement techniques.
- Able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
