About the Role:

From building cell sites and burying fibre cables that connect our network safely, to ensuring IT hardware and software solutions are tested, distributed, implemented, and maintained.
Day to day you will:
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform all rigging tasks including tower assembly, erection, and installation/testing of antenna line devices on various structures.
- Commission telco networks and components.
- Inspect remote communications sites to assess and schedule preventative maintenance of antenna systems and tower conditions using a 4WD vehicle and hand tools.
- Complete relevant documentation, signing off work completed to the correct standards and engineering specifications.
Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to, including safety inductions for new staff, timely completion of H&S audits, and communication of H&S updates and newsletters with your team.
What experience you'll bring:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in telecommunications.
- Strong motivation and the ability to work autonomously.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with Samsung, Nokia, and Ericsson BTS equipment.
- Valid Working at Heights tickets (IRATA or IRAANZ certification is an advantage).
Willingness to travel nationally on rotation, although based in Auckland or Christchurch.
