What the day to day looks like:
- End-to-end responsibility for acquisition marketing functions across a range of Spark’s products and portfolios (across consumer & SME) - including market orientation, research, strategy, proposition development, campaign/project go-to-market and measurement.
- Works closely with internal specialist teams and external media, creative & measurement partners to develop and execute world class work that meets communications and commercial objectives.
- Translates the business’ wider strategic vision into a marketing plan with clear initiatives.
- Uses deep market insights and competitive analysis to craft differentiated propositions that enhance perceived value, increase consideration and conversion.
- Develops, owns and executes TTL marketing projects, with end to end budget management.
- Works with globally-recognised, innovative brands and partners to deliver unique work in the NZ market.
- Inputs into product pricing and distribution strategy, that aligns with our commercial objectives.
- Identifies and creates new market opportunities via partnership creation and development of new propositions.
- Maximises ROI by measuring and understanding the performance of marketing initiatives through econometrics, experimentation, in-flight optimisation and predictive forecasting.
- Collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders to create impactful work, internally and externally.
- Uses AI to simplify repeatable tasks and finds ways to create efficiencies in our marketing processes.
- Stays up to date with industry trends and best practice to ensure the team remains at the forefront of marketing innovation.
- Leads by example, providing mentorship and guidance that empowers others to excel and grow their expertise.
Who are we looking for?
Someone with…
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Bachelors degree in marketing/communications (or equivalent).
- 8+ years marketing experience (enterprise experience preferred).
- Demonstrated high degree of commercial acumen.
- Growth mindset and roll-up-the sleeves attitude.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms (media, web, data, AI).
- Strong understanding of marketing measurement techniques.
- Experience managing external business relationships (agencies, media owners etc).
- Able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
