About the Role:
Reporting to the First Response Operations Team Lead, you’ll be a highly motivated and technically confident individual, with excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as a strong desire for improvement and self-development.
As a L2 Support Engineer you’ll be accountable for maintaining a secure and highly available environment for our managed clients, services, and core infrastructure; working across a range of network infrastructure and security technologies.
Day to day you will:
· Diagnose and Fix Incidents within Service Level agreement.
· Liaise with Vendor for TAC Support and failed Hardware Replacement.
· Create and Implement Network and Firewall changes as per business operations requirements.
· Perform software upgrades and SSL certificate updates as part of proactive maintenance.
· Develop and support procedures, processes, and code to increase the efficiency and operational capability.
What skills and experience you'll bring:
· Relevant qualification in related field and certification – i.e. CCNP, NSE4 etc.
· Demonstrable experience working within a related or similar role – i.e. Network Operations, Security Operations, Network Engineering.
· Proficient in Check Point, Juniper, Fortinet Firewall and Cisco routing, switching and wireless technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and outside business hours.
· Empathy and tolerance toward clients and colleagues.
Other additional nice-to-have skills include experience in operating and maintaining Load Balancers and Proxies and familiar with CISCO ISE and DNA solution.
