WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

As a Voice & Collaboration Engineer, you'll be working full time at a client site, responsible for the design, deployment, operation, and optimisation of enterprise voice and collaboration services across Microsoft Teams Calling and carrier environments.

Microsoft Teams Calling & Collaboration

Design, deploy, and support Microsoft Teams Calling solutions for enterprise customers
Configure and manage Teams Calling policies, user enablement, and licensing
Support advanced calling features including voicemail, delegates, call forwarding, call park, and shared line appearance
Troubleshoot and optimise Teams Calling experiences across desktop, mobile, and web clients
Support and maintain Microsoft Teams collaboration services and user experiences
Provide technical expertise across voice, meetings, collaboration, and communications platforms

Direct Routing & SBC Management

Deploy, configure, and maintain certified Session Border Controllers (SBCs), including AudioCodes platforms
Manage SIP trunks and carrier interconnections
Administer certificates, TLS, and mutual authentication
Design and maintain voice routing, number normalisation, failover, and resiliency strategies
Perform SIP message normalisation and manipulation

Voice Routing & Call Flow Design

Design and maintain tenant and user-level dial plans
Configure voice routing policies and PSTN usage records
Build and support:
- Auto Attendants
- Call Queues
- Business hours and overflow routing
- Complex call flow scenarios
Support multi-region and multi-country voice deployments

Voice Quality & Network Performance

Assess and optimise network readiness for real-time voice workloads
Implement and validate QoS configurations and traffic prioritisation
Analyse media paths, firewall dependencies, and connectivity requirements
Use Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) to identify and resolve:
- Packet loss
- Jitter
- Latency
Troubleshoot voice quality issues using logs, diagnostics, and telemetry

Incident & Operational Management

Lead investigation and resolution of voice-related incidents and service outages
Perform SIP-level troubleshooting and call flow analysis
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive service improvements
Engage with Microsoft Support, carriers, and technology vendors
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles

Automation & Tooling

Utilise Microsoft Teams PowerShell for:
- Bulk user enablement
- Policy management
- Number assignment
- Operational administration
Automate Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACDs)
Develop reporting, auditing, and operational scripts

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Essential Experience

Proven experience delivering and supporting Microsoft Teams Calling solutions in enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of Direct Routing and SBC technologies
Deep understanding of SIP protocols, voice routing, and call flow design
Experience managing enterprise voice incidents and troubleshooting complex voice environments
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams PowerShell
Strong customer focus and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
