Description & Requirements
As a Senior Consultant Network & Security in our Professional Services unit, you will provide specialist technical advice, design and implement complex network and security solutions, and provide technical leadership on projects for our enterprise and government customers.
You will collaborate with other members of the Professional Services, project services and operational teams, to successfully deliver various technology solutions. In addition, you will from time-to-time work closely with the sales teams on pre-sales opportunities providing technical knowledge and guidance.
You will receive time and access to training resources, a ticket to industry events, and opportunities to connect with industry experts, to ensure you’re well informed and equipped to stay ahead of our constantly evolving technology domain.
Day to day you will be involved in:
- Designing, implementing and testing complex network and security solutions for our customers.
- Continuous research and learning, staying up to date with new and emerging technologies.
- Researching, testing and verifying technology solutions using virtual online or physical lab infrastructure.
- Taking the lead in diagnosing and resolving difficult or complex problems.
- Assisting Spark sales teams on presales opportunities.
- Building strong relationships with our customers through great communication skills and a customer focused mentality.
What experience you'll bring?
- At least five years of experience designing and implementing complex network and security solutions.
- Experience in contributing to and writing technical solutions and design documentation to a high standard.
- Experience with working as part of a team on the delivery of large and complex network and security projects.
- Experience with network security products from one or more of the following vendors: Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Check Point, Palo Alto and Netskope.
- A high degree of technical proficiency and experience with designing and implementing enterprise network and security solutions that includes one or more of the following: WAN/SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, LAN & Wi-Fi, NG-Firewalls, and data centre networking.
- Experience with one or more of the following security technologies would be beneficial: WAF, IPS, DDoS Protection, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and IAM.
- Experience with designing and configuring network and security solutions in Azure and AWS tenancies would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in automation-focused scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Powershell, Unix-Shell Script) and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) would be beneficial.
- Vendor certifications from Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Check Point or Netskope are desirable.
