We are looking for a special type of person who can manage software & public cloud purchasing relationships with well-known Corporate, Enterprise, Government and Academic customers and also provide them with strategic advice. The ideal candidates for these roles want to be best in market in licensing capability (heavily weighted towards Microsoft), are analytical but also love getting in front of the customer and showing their mastery of their craft.
The Spark Licensing team is part of the wider sales team at Spark and has a great team culture, we work together towards shared goals and try to make our day to day enjoyable. In this role you will work alongside the Licensing BDM, Client Leads, Group BDMs and with Product teams.
Ideally the candidate will be based in Wellington however we will consider other locations for a strong candidate.
- Licensing procurement and strategic software road mapping
- Aligning licensing models to achieve customer business goals. Strongly link licensing strategy with technology & business strategy using 'best way to buy' framework
- Vendor contract management and negotiation
- Interpretation of vendor licensing policies, offering expert guidance
- Reducing compliance risk
- Opportunities for license harvesting and re-allocation
This would suit someone who has experience in managing software licensing leveraging Microsoft LSP, CSP or managing non-Microsoft licensing, and who is comfortable being infront of customers providing strategic guidance.
